The American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) is an independent agency of the United States federal government responsible for commemorating and maintaining the graves and memorials of U.S. military personnel who served and died overseas in various conflicts throughout the world. The ABMC’s mission is to honor and remember the sacrifices of U.S. service members by maintaining and preserving their final resting places and memorial sites.
