The Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) is an office within the United States Department of Energy (DOE) that focuses on advancing research and development efforts related to biofuels, bioproducts, and other sustainable biopower technologies. Its mission is to develop and demonstrate technologies that can help the United States reduce its dependence on fossil fuels, promote the use of renewable resources, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the sustainable production and use of biomass resources.
