The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is an independent agency of the United States government responsible for promoting the safety of consumer products. It was established by the Consumer Product Safety Act in 1972. The primary mission of the CPSC is to protect the public from unreasonable risks of injury or death associated with the use of consumer products.
