Institute of Education Sciences

The Institute of Education Sciences (IES) is a research arm of the U.S. Department of Education. Its primary mission is to provide rigorous and relevant evidence on which to ground education practice and policy in the United States. IES conducts and supports research, evaluations, and statistical analyses across a wide range of education topics to improve student outcomes and inform educational decision-making.
